St Patrick’s Day Parade
The Coolgreany St Patrick’s Day Parade is on the 17th of March starting at 12noon. We would ask everyone to arrive early and to use the Scarnagh and Ballyfad roads to enter the village as the Inch/ Fortchester/ Gurteen Roads will be closed at 11.30. The car park is Merrigans Field at the top of the Long Lane beside the Old School.

Kilanerin Men’s Shed meets every Thursday at 11 a.m. each week in Kilanerin Community Centre and is open to new members.

Well done to all the dancers who took to the stage in the Amber Springs Hotel for the past two weeks.
Congratulations to Olive Curtis and Conor Jones who came out on tops for the Kilanerin/Tara Rocks combination and well done to Shane Halpin and Roisin Kinsella who took the title.
Congratulations to Pat Hughes Clonsilla and Catherine Breen who were the recipients of Gorey District awards on Friday night last.
After the action on the dance floor for the past two weeks its now time to get the feet back on the green sod with both football and hurling leagues back on. There are lots of matches both men women and youths coming up over the next few weeks, check the fixtures in the newspaper or get yourself added to the fixtures and results app.

Enrolment for Junior Infants is open from until March 24th 2023. St Joseph’s AFC draw
St Joseph’s AFC monthly draw is continuing to generate much needed funds for the running and development of our club. The recent February winners were: €250 Tim Noone; €100 Anne Keane; €50 Carol Dempsey
The February draw will take place in the first week of March.The prizes each month are €250, €100 & €50. Kilmuckridge Klean Up
Spring is coming. Let’s get our village looking its best by cleaning up the litter on our roads and in our public areas. Join Tidy Towns on either Saturday 1st of April or Sunday 2nd of April for the Big Kilmuckridge Klean UP. Give as much or as little time as you can spare and see the difference you can make . All welcome meet at the Village car park at 10am. Klean UP is part of the National nationwide annual spring clean week throughout the month of April.
Kilmuckridge Drama Group
The Local drama group scooped 1st place for their play Sive by JB Keane
at the recent Gorey, Ballyduff and Roscommon Drama Festivals and the group have now qualified for the All Ireland Drama Festival in Glenamaddy having also won the Kilmuckridge Drama Festival.
At Gorey Drama Festival the group also picked up the following awards: Best Producer Anthony O Connor; Best Actress Margo Whelan; Best Supporting Actress Kate Devereux; Best Newcomer MIchael Butler and the
Audience Cup.
At Roscommon Drama Festival alongside their win for Best Play they also received the following awards Best Actor John Hearne, Best Supporting Actress Margo Whelan and The Vincent Mahon Award Scholarship was won by Kate Devereux.
Ballyduff–The group won 1st place (Best Play) and the following awards Best Producer Anthony O’ Connor, Best Actor Richard Devereux,Best Actress Margo Whelan, Best Supporting Actress Kate Devereux , The Adjudicators Award (sound) and the Best Set.
The group have had much success with their play on the circuit and every good wish to the cast and crew in the All Ireland. Break a leg.
Buffers Alley GAA
Alley Óg - Hurling 365 has started back in our two local Primary schools. The coaching before school takes place on Tuesdays at 8.15 in Kilmuckridge and Monamolin on Fridays at 8.30. We extend a warm welcome to newcomers to our Nursery and those returning after the winter break.
Membership - Membership for both adult, underage and supporters is now due and should be paid before 31st March. Important to have all players both adult and underage paid up as we have a number of games scheduled for the next few weekends. There is also a non- playing/ supporters/social membership option for those who would like to join up - for just €50 for a couple or €30 for an individual, it’s great value.

Upcoming Games - On Sat. 18th March our Intermediate hurlers play their first league game away to Blackwater at 3pm. The following morning Sunday 19th March our minor hurlers play a league hurling game at home v Tara Rocks at 10.30 am Good Luck to all.

There was no winner or match 3 winner in the parish lotto draw which took place on 6th March. The total of the next jackpot is €6,600.00 and will be held in the Crosses.
Bridge Results
The results for Sean Og’s Bridge club (Monday evening) played in the Upton Court Hotel: 1st Gaye Creagh & John Creagh 2nd Norma Casey & Jim Casey. The results for Sean Og’s Bridge club (Thursday morning) play in the Upton Court Hotel were: 1st Mary Murphy & Margaret O’Connor 2nd Michael Whelan & Noel O’Brien 3rd Nora Clarkin & John Clarkin. Bridge continues every Monday evening at 7pm and Thursday morning at 10 am. All bridge players welcome.

St Patrick’s Day: Mass in Tara Hill will be at 11 a.m.
Confirmation date: Confirmation will take place at St Kevin’s Church on March 22.
Tractor run
A tractor run will be held on Saturday March 18. Registration from 12 noon. Take off at 1.30 p.m. from the Golden Anchor Castletown. Refreshments afterwards back at the Golden Anchor. Raffle, auction and music later that evening in the bar. All proceeds will go to Kilcavan Tarahill Cemetery extension and development. Come along for another great day/night out. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Tickets for raffle on night of tractor run can be purchased before and after mass on St Patrick’s Day at St Kevins Church. All support will be greatly appreciated.
Tickets will also be on sale on the day of the event, before starting at the Anchor and in the pub on the night.

Strictly Come Dancing Final - The Castletown Liam Mellows GAA v Kilanerin Tara Rocks GAA Strictly Come Dancing Final was a great night Amber Springs Hotel on Saturday last March 11th. Shane Halpin and Roisin Kinsella deservedly were the overall winners on the night . Thanks to everyone who attended and supported in any way.
Dinner Dance - The Castletown Liam Mellows GAA Dinner Dance will take place in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Friday March 31st at 7.30pm.
The night will start with dinner, followed by a presentation to the 1973 County Final winning team and medal presentations to the 2022 Senior Football County champions, U19 County Football champions and Camogie Intermediate champions finishing with a DJ . Gaelic4 Mothers & Others - Gaelic4Mothers & Others returns this Monday at 8pm at Castletown GAA pitch. The Gaelic4Mothers&Others initiative sees women playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment. Gaelic4Mothers&Others provides an opportunity for women to get their recommended weekly exercise in a fun way while meeting other women in the area. All welcome , no experience necessary.
