St Patricks Day Parade.
The Coolgreany St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee needs YOU! We held our first meeting on Wednesday January 25, and were unable to form a committee. Our next meeting will be Thursday February 2, and we need people to volunteer. We no longer have a volunteer for the role of Co-ordinator for the committee. If we cannot fill the role the parade will not be able to go ahead.
So if you want to see the Coolgreany St Patrick’s Day Parade go ahead for 2023 please join us on February 2 at 8.30p.m. in the May Byrne House, Main St, Coolgreany.
Sympathy
Deepest sympathy of the local community is extended to Kathleen Pierce and family, formerly Inch Post Office, on the sad passing of her son Jamesin New York on last Monday. Funeral service was held in New York on last Friday. May he Rest in Peace.
Garda Pop-up
A Garda Pop-up Station will be he held in the May Byrne House on the last Wednesday of the month from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. All forms can be signed, or everyone welcome to all in for a chat.

May Byrne House
There is a coffee morning each Friday from 10 a.m. till 12, everyone welcome to come along and enjoy some lovely home baking, cakes tarts ect, and have a very relaxing chat.
Don’t forget the house is always available for bookings for meetings etc.
Cardiac Screening
Cardiac Screening to help prevent sudden adult death syndrome (SADS) will take place at Castletown Liam Mellows GAA clubhouse on Saturday, February 4. Open to club and non-club members from aged 12. €72 or free with Laya Healthcare insurance. Go to ameds.ie for more details or to book and enter clinic code ‘Castletown23’.

Strictly Come Dancing
Dancers representing Castletown GAA are busy preparing for Strictly Come Dancing on February 25 at the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey. Winners from this night will face Kilanerin/Tara Rocks GAA in the dancing final March 11 at the Amber Springs. More details to follow.

The numbers drawn in the parish lotto on Monday 23rd of January were 12, 15, 23 & 24. Match 3 winners were Joe Murphy and Liam Mc Ruim. The next jackpot stands at €5,700 and the draw will take place in the Upton Court Hotel at 8.30pm.
Buffers Alley GAA
Buffers Alley Lights Up - In conjunction with ‘Ireland Lights Up’, we continue with our walking and exercise - join us on our walking track for a walk, talk, make new friends as well as having a little bit of fun! Of course, plenty of exercise too! Our walking track is lit up the seven nights of the week and members of the local community are very welcome to avail of our excellent facilities. We encourage everyone to download the My Life Irish Life App and link it to their phone as all steps during the day will be recorded. All clubs who reach a certain target will be entered in a draw for O’Neill’s gear. All details on our Facebook page.
Club Dinner Dance - Our club Dinner Dance and medal presentation will take place this Friday 3rd February in the Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckridge. Wishing everyone an enjoyable night with their friends and do not forget to dance the night away to popular band Divine Invention.
Club Monthly Draw - The club monthly draw will get underway shortly with the January and February draws scheduled for Thursday 23rd February. Promoters are currently contacting their regular members. However, new families and individuals very welcome to join. €650 is given out in prizes on the last Thursday of each month. All names to be given to be handed in on or before 9th February.
