Members of the public have been offered a sneak peek at what to expect at this year's Gorey Market House Festival as the main acts for the August event have just been announced.
Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Gorey’s Main Street will be buzzing with music, dancing, food and more. This year, the town will welcome a host of musical talent from near and far for the event.
On Friday, August 4, Cork singer and guitarist Allie Sherlock will serve as the event headliner, with support from homegrown talent, Corner Boy. Saturday, August 5 will see Springsteen A Tribute lead the evening, with support from Conmore Live Drummer, Daft Punk Tribute, Small Fish and more on the night. Saturday will also see the return of the highly-popular busking competition on the street.
Dancing queens and kings alike will be pleased to hear that Abba tribute band Abbaesque are headlining on Sunday, August 6, with support from Thinner Lizzy, Finnian, Footsqueaker, Code of Behaviour, Neon River, Kayleigh Cullen and more. Sunday visitors can also browse through the street markets during the course of the afternoon.
There will be fun on offer for younger visitors too, with a family fun day on Saturday in Gorey Town Park and a fancy dress fun run on Sunday at 11 a.m.
