C.O.W.S. news
The Community of Oulart Women’s Society continues to meet in Oulart Community Centre every second Tuesday night, at 8pm. The next meetings will be held on 1st June.
Meetings are always well attended and various topics are discussed and plans made for future activities. The members are very community orientated and undertake projects to enhance the local area.
Presently, plans are underway to have a mural painted on the high wall, on the short-cut to the graveyard. Last Saturday some members of the C.O.W.S. were busy applying undercoat to the wall that had kindly been power-washed by Eddie O’Dowd. The work will continue over the next few weeks and the finished product is much anticipated.

Since the formation of the C.O.W.S., two very successful Afternoon Teas have been held in Oulart Community Centre, where a Céad Míle Fáilte has been extended to everyone, to come together for tea/coffee and a chat and an opportunity to meet with people that you may not have seen for a while.
The next Afternoon Tea Party will be held on Friday 9th June, from 3pm until 5pm, and all members of the community are invited to attend. There is no charge and the members of C.O.W.S. will welcome you with open arms and serve tea/coffee and melt-in-the-mouth confectionary.
