Bunclody Christmas Market

Bunclody Christmas Market is on Saturday, November 26, from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. weather permitting. It will be held on the Market Square but if weather is not good on the day the Christmas Market will be held in the St Aidan’s Hall in Bunclody.

There will be more than 30 stalls of all kinds on the day. Please come out and support local crafters and makers and let us make this a good day. The Christmas lights will be turned on and entertainment from 4 p.m. onwards.

The Mall Marketeers look forward to seeing and chatting to our regular customers meeting new people on the day. Ho Ho Ho happy Christmas.

Christmas Light Switch On

The Christmas festivities in Bunclody will kick off on Saturday, November 26, with Santa Claus himself switching on the Christmas Lights. Entertainment from Séamus Long of Mad Caps fame will start around 4 p.m. and the Christmas Lights will be switched on by Santa Claus around 5 p.m. All are welcome along to the entertainment and fun.

All we need is a rain-free afternoon and evening for us all to get out and enjoy the occasion.

Walking Track

The Walking Track at Half-Way-House/Bunclody GAA Club will be lit on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to facilitate walkers in the darker evenings over winter.

Hurling 365

Wexford GAA are running Hurling 365 for boys and girls from second to sixth class on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 8.40 a.m. in the Half-Way-House/Bunclody GAA Club indoor arena. There will be bus transfer to Kilmyshall NS afterwards.

Men’s Shed

Bunclody Men’s Shed opening times are Monday and Friday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday evening 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Kilmyshall split-the-pot

Kilmyshall split-the-pot envelopes are available from HWH Shop, Steemers, Cahill’s hardware, D & M Laundrette, Glanbia, Redmond’s Bar, Byrnes Hardware Ryland Lower, Kilmyshall parish office and Kilmyshall School.

The pot is split between Kilmyshall School and the parish. Draw takes place every Friday. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated.

Free Food and Nutrition Training Course

WWETB BTEI is offering a free course in Nutrition and Healthy Options in Bunclody Further Education and Training Centre. This course will use the centres new training kitchen and learning and using IT in small classes. This is a wonderful opportunity to help improve your own skills in food and nutrition to benefit you and your family.

Buggy Walking Group

A Buggy Walking Group has started meeting in Bunclody on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The day may vary depending on availability and weather and will meet during term time only.

This group is for parents, guardians, childminders and their little ones from 0-3 years from Bunclody and the surrounding area. The route walk will vary each week for variety and enjoyment. Bunclody Vocational College Split-the-pot

Bunclody Vocational College split-the-pot envelopes are available in Bunclody Credit Union, Bunclody VC, Eurospar, Ken Rothwell, O’Reillys SuperValu, and Steemers Newsagents. The most recent winner was Chelsea Sunderland, who won €50.

Parish Choir

The Bunclody/Kilmyshall Parish Choir meets in the Church of the most Holy Trinity, Bunclody on Thursday evenings at 7.30 p.m.

New members are always welcome to join.

The Monday Club

The ‘Monday Club’ meets in Bunclody Day Care Centre from 10 a.m. each Monday. New members welcome.

Hot Meals Delivered

Bunclody Meals on Wheels service is looking for volunteers to help deliver a hot dinner to people living in the general Bunclody area. People with availability between 12.30 and 2 p.m. on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday are urgently needed. All help is very much appreciated to deliver this essential service.

Bunclody Bridge Club

The Glucksman Viewpoints Touring Exhibition will visit Bunclody Library from November 17 to November 30.

Sensory Friendly Quiet Hour – Every Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sensory Friendly Quiet Hour is observed in the library. We encourage you to come along and relax in the calm environment of the library.

A Creative Writing Masterclass for adults with Caroline Busher takes place on Thursday, November 24, at 7 p.m. Whether you are already writing a novel or want to know where to begin, Irish Times best selling author Caroline Busher, will give you her top tips for success. Participants will be given the opportunity to discuss their work and advice on getting their work published.

The annual Remembrance Masses for those who died over the past year will take place will take place in the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Bunclody on Friday, November 25, at 7.30 p.m.

Myshall Christmas Fair

Cuisle Mhiseal will host a Christmas Fair in Myshall Community Centre on the last Sunday in November, from 9.30 a.m. to midday, one of the earliest in the county.
