Christmas craft fair

Kiltealy Voluntary Cardiac Team will be back with their annual Christmas Craft Fair in Kiltealy Community Centre on Sunday, November 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It’s always a wonderful event and a great way to kick off the Christmas season and everyone in the community is encouraged to go along on the day to see the wide range of local crafts and produce on display.

Crafters interested in availing of a table are asked to contact 087 9419602.

Anyone involved in the local music scene across county Wexford or nationwide involved in writing and releasing original songs and music is encouraged to get in contact with this newspaper if they would like to have their material reviewed.

Galbally Christmas fair

A Christmas Craft Fair will take place in Galbally on Sunday, December 11, from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

The event will include Santa’s Grotto, a Christmas garden and members’ raffle.

Mrs Claus will also be on hand with cookies and hot chocolate and there will be a wide range of craft stalls on-site. Stalls are also still available to hire for €20 each.

Wreath craft

Christmas Wreath and Table Centre classes will take place in Ballyroebuck Parish Hall on November 15, 22 and 29. The classes will take place from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. and all materials will be supplied. However, places are extremely limited and booking is essential. Obituaries

The Enniscorthy Guardian offers tribute obituary pieces for bereaved family members and friends within the local community who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one.

The weekly service is offered free of charge, with all obituaries completed in a manner that is sensitive to your own personal wishes and requests.

The obituaries are also shaped entirely by your direction and are written in full consultation with you at all times and at all stages, thus ensuring they are a fitting tribute to the deceased person.

Ballycarney calendar

Ballycarney Development Group is hoping to produce a calendar for the coming year.

If anyone has local photos relevant to the area they are asked to post them to the Ballycarney Development Facebook page.

Christmas gifts

Christmas gifts, cards and mass bouquets are all now available at St Aidan’s Parish Office/Shop.

Everyone is welcome to go along and browse.

George Murphy

The Presentation Arts Centre in Enniscorthy will provide the venue for what could be a music highlight of the year when it plays host to singer and musician, George Murphy, on Friday, December 2.

Tickets for the show in Enniscorthy, priced €21.50, are available through www.presentationcentre.ie.

Bingo event

Ballindaggin National School parents council will be holding a bingo night in Ballindaggin Hall on Wednesday, November 30, at 7 pm.

There will be prizes, teas, sweets and a monster raffle on the night with over €2,000 in prize money. It will be a great fun event for all the family. The cost of admission will be €7 (adults), €3 (children) and €20 (for a family).

Senior citizens party

Plans are underway for the Kiltealy-Ballindaggin senior citizens Christmas party which will take place on Sunday, December 4, in the Community Hall.

Those interested in attending the party are asked to contact Dee in the parish office at 053-9256650. Volunteers are needed to help on the day and if you are free to give assistance on December 4, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. please contact Dee on the above number.

Christmas panto time

Preparations are under way for this year’s festive season events in the Presentation Arts Centre in Enniscorthy and one of the forthcoming highlights is sure to be the Christmas panto, ‘Old Mother Hubbard’s Crazy Christmas Panto’.

Don’t miss this hilarious version of an all-time children’s favourite, brought to you by Centre Stage Theatre Company, the people behind last year’s hit Enniscorthy panto, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’s Christmas Adventure’.

The show will be staged at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, with tickets priced €10 each or €35 for a family of four.

Davidstown Christmas fair

Davidstown Christmas Craft Fair will take place on Sunday, November 27, from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

The fair will be held in Davidstown Community Centre and the proceeds from the day will go towards Happy Trails Therapeutic Riding School and the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Enniscorthy.

A spokesperson for the organisers said interest in the event is very high and commented: “We are now fully booked with lots of amazing crafters with beautiful products to sell."

“We will have the ‘Moody Mares’ tea and coffee station with lots of lovely treats,” she said.

There will be raffle lines on sale on the day and there will also be a Festive Family Photo station on-site. Anyone interested in helping out on the day, or those wishing to donate some home baked produce to the event, is asked to contact Elaine at 087 2878847 or check out the group on Facebook.

Christmas fair

Killegney-Rossdroit Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, November 26, in Clonroche Community Hall. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and promises to be great day out.

The organisers have worked hard to ensure there will be something of interest on-site for all members of the family.

There will be a monster raffle with a top prize of €300 up for grabs along with numerous other great prizes.

There will also be a raffle for a trailer load of firewood and third raffle for a prize from under the Christmas tree.

The event will also have lots of visiting craft workers displaying their wares in addition to stalls with home baked produce and a bottle stand. The RNLI will also have a stand at the event.

It will be the ideal way to begin the run in to the Christmas season and the organisers are encouraging everyone in the community to go along and join with them for a cuppa and a chat.

Marshalstown bingo sessions

Community Bingo has returned to Marshalstown Community Centre every Monday at 8 p.m. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
