FCJ Sisters Honoured
The FCJ sisters were honoured by Enniscorthy Municipal District recently when they were presented with a Civic Award for their contribution to Education and the community over almost 160 in Bunclody. The award was presented to Sr. Madeleine Ryan fcJ by Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council at the recent FCJ Secondary School sixth year graduation ceremony in the school’s new gym.
To raise funds for the continuing development of our sports facilities FCJ are running a Euromillions Plus lotto Syndicate.

The Ferns Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock International Shrine takes place this year on July 3, led by Bishop Ger Nash.
A coach will depart from the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Bunclody on Saturday, July 2, at 9.30 a.m. for an overnight stay at Knock House Hotel, returning on Sunday evening. For details and booking please contact Eileen Carton at 087 2933545.
Holy Trinity Church Choir has returned to singing at Masses and other church services. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday evening at 7.30 p.m. in the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Bunclody. New members, male and female are required and will be sincerely welcomed.

The annual general meeting of Bunclody Tidy Towns will be held on this Thursday, June 9, at 7 p.m. in Rivers Edge function room.
Bunclody Men’s Shed opening times are as follows: Monday: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Art Day At the Rectory
Bunclody Union of Parishes is inviting you and all friends to bring your sketch pad and pencil, paints, etc, to the grounds of St Mary’s Rectory, on Saturday, June 11, any time from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please bring a.
picnic too, so we can all take a break for lunch.
Appropriately, Saturday, June 11, is also the Feast Day of the Apostle, St Barnaba’s (Acts 14: 14), who encouraged St Paul in his missionary work. The name Barnabas means, ‘son of encouragement’. So, this Art Day is a day for encouraging one another to explore our interest in art, in the grounds of the Rectory where flowers will be in bloom, the history all around can inspire us and the light for drawing and painting will be excellent. Join Dr Kesree Finnegan BMed
Sci, BMBS, MRCPI, DCH, DRCOG, MICGP for an informative talk on all aspects of the menopause. There will be an opportunity to ask questions on the night.
Dr Kes moved to Ireland in 2004 and worked predominantly in Renal Medicine. She undertook her GP training in the Southeast and was awarded membership of the ICGP in 2015. She also obtained a Diploma in Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She also holds a European Certificate in Palliative Care.

The Mall Street market is back in Bunclody on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Are you interested in free, social bike rides? These free Community Bike Rides take place regularly in your local area and you are welcome to take part.
They are safe, sociable, small group rides, open to adults over 18+ and are led by a local volunteer leader who has been trained and vetted by Cycling Ireland. The rides are usually in the locality and occasionally a little further afield. All you need to take part is a roadworthy bike and helmet. The 2022 Ferns Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from June 20 to June 24 the pilgrimage will be led by the Bishop of Ferns, Most Rev Ger Nash. The trip includes four nights’ accommodation in Lourdes, breakfast, lunch and dinner each day in Hotels Padque, Solitude and Agena as well as transfer and assistance between Lourdes airport the hotel. Bunclody Meals on Wheels service is looking for volunteers to help deliver a hot dinner to people living in the general Bunclody area. People with availability between 12.30 and 2 p.m. on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday are urgently needed. Cruinniú na nÓg
Cruinniú na nÓg is back for 2022 and we are seeking a group of young people to work together to create an art installation at the @ARTBANK Bunclody Gallery. Bring your amazing ideas, your sparks of imagination, your well of creativity. Over a number of weeks, you will create a unique art piece that will be displayed in the Artbank gallery as part of the Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations.
Working alongside artists Caoimhe Dunn and John Renwick, the group will brainstorm ideas and come up with a theme for the art installation. To book your child’s free place contact John from Artbank at 087 3119647.
Workshops will start May 14 at 11 a.m. and every Saturday till the final exhibition opening on June 11 At the last workshop the artwork will be installed and opened to the public. Invite friends and family to come along. Exhibition opens at 2 p.m. on June 11.
