Our Lady of Lourdes NS

The children of fourth and fifth classes in Our Lady of Lourdes NS, Bunclody, recently exhibited a selection of their work created collaboratively as part of the Living Arts Project.

This project entailed the children focusing on exploring print techniques over several weeks of workshops with artists Deirdre Meehan Buttimer and Olivia O’Dwyer. These workshops developed the creative skills of the children and allowed them scope to plan and produce their own prints using a variety of materials.

The children also got the chance to attend a special workshop in the Wexford County Council Offices at Carricklawn which they greatly enjoyed. The Living Arts Project is organised by Wexford Arts Centre in conjunction with Wexford County Council and it has proven to be a wonderful opportunity for the children in Our Lady of Lourdes NS while all the time expanding the school’s focus on the arts.
