Caim Vintage Club presented Wexford Cardiac Unit with a cheque for €2,335, proceeds of the recent Terry Barnes Memorial run.
There was no winner or online winner of the Kildavin-Clonegal GAA and Ben Mulhall Park lotto draw of €10,000. Numbers drawn were 02-19 – 26 – 27. There were no match-three winners. The three lucky-dip winners were Chris Coleman, Kildavin, Shane Roberts, Clonegal and Brian Plunkett, Clonegal, all receiving €50 each.
Next draw will take place on Sunday, June 12, at 9 p.m. in Conway’s, Kildavin. Tickets are also available to purchase through Club Force. You can download this app and get instant results notification. This will make purchasing a line for the draw as easy as three clicks of a mouse. Tickets cost €2 per line or three lines for €5. Tickets must be purchased before 6 p.m. cut off time.
The Cranavane Well committee would like to thank all those who attended the annual Mass at the site on Wednesday, May 25, and to all who gave generously towards the cost of the site’s upkeep. The site is a beautiful tranquil space in our community and is well worth a visit.

The Ben Mulhall Memorial Park have reschedule their AGM for Thursday, June 16, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Ben Mulhall Park, Clonegal. All are welcome, new members also welcome.

The Rathnure Drive in Bingo Bank Holiday Special returns this Monday, June 6, at 3 p.m. at Rathnure Soccer Pitch. Over €2,900 in prizes. Snowball of €500 up for grabs with more money on all games.

Smart Village Survey – Have your say
The Ferns Smart Village Survey has been extended to Friday, June 10. Thanks to everyone who has completed the survey to date. The results of this community survey will give feedback from the community on what matters to them and help identify opportunities and challenges for the future of the village and greatly assist the Ferns Smart Village Group and the community in drawing up a Smart Village Strategic Plan (SVSP).

Ballindaggin Field Evening
After a two year break Ballindaggin Development Group are holding a field evening on Friday June 17th at 7pm in the school grounds. Parking will be in the village car park at the Church.
It promises to be a great fun evening out for all the family with many attractions including bottle stall, cake stall, brick-a-brack, shop, teas, pony rides, children’s races and many more attractions. There will also be a timber sale and timber auction. Admission is free, so come and enjoy a great evening out. With the increase in insurance and some maintenance work to be carried out in the park we’re asking everyone for their support especially those who use the park.
Point to Point
Congratulations to Colin Bowe who has had another dominant season in the trainers ranks as the Milestone Stables team racked up 46 winners, almost double the tally of any other handler. Congratulations also to Barry O’Neill who is this season’s champion jockey for the sixth year in a row in a season which also saw him win three of the four regional titles. Well done to all involved.
Pop Up Garda Station
The next date the gardai will be available in Kiltealy Hall is Monday June 20th between 10 and 11.30 am and every second Monday after that.
Won gold at Bloom
Congratulations to Niall Deacon, Ballinlug, Killanne on winning a gold medal award at Bloom in Dublin last week, A great achievement as it was his first time to enter a garden in Bloom. The beautiful garden featured some of his popular granite pieces including a granite garden bath tub.
Pupils from 3rd to 6th class Kiltealy N.S. had a great day out yesterday on their school tour at Clara Lara in Wicklow. The juniors to 2nd class will have their outing to Kilkenny later in the month.

The next collection of used clothes for Kiltealy N.S. will be on June 27th. So lots of time to tidy your wardrobes. The school shelter will be open the previous week during school hours for dropping in bags of clothes.
