Well done to Jordan Gainford, who had great success at the Galway Races winning the opening race at 18 to 1 and winning the plate at 16 to 1.
There was no winner or online winner of the Kildavin-Clonegal GAA and Ben Mulhall Park lotto draw of €10,000 held on Sunday, July 24. Numbers drawn were 4, 9, 26 and 28. The winners that matched three were: Bernie Sheil, Clonegal, Hickeys c/o Bernie Hickey, James Gray Jnr, Clonegal and Caroline McGettigan (online), receiving €40 each.

Cranavane Well Kildavin
The Cranavane Well Committee would like to thank Carlow County Council, who have erected improved signage on the site and at the entrance. Cranavane is on the road between Kildavin and Myshall and is an Ancient Holy Site and an ideal place for those seeking peace and tranquillity to visit.

Come and visit the Weavers’ Cottages Museum which were once the home of local weavers dating back to the 17th century and now houses many artefacts of the cottage weaving industry. Kiltealy Patron and field day
After a break of two years due to Covid the Kiltealy Patron and field day takes place on Sunday next August 7th beginning with prayers in the Church graveyard at 1 pm. Mass will be celebrated in the New Cemetery at 1.30 pm.
Ballindaggin Pipe Band will lead the attendance to the field day which will follow immediately afterwards with a full programme of attractions including–bottle stall, produce stall, duck racing, bingo, roulette, skittles, guess sweets-in-a-jar, childrens pony and tractor rides, face painting, hurling and children’s sports, raffle for trailer load of firewood, BBQ, teas, coffee, cakes ice cream and raffle for valuable prizes all on the field. The parish raffle will take place on the field in the evening, tickets have been delivered to all households in the area and will also be for sale on the field. All proceeds go to parish funds. A great day out for all the family at the foot of Blackstairs, entertainment in the village in the evening, come and enjoy.
The raffle has some great prizes: 1st prize €250 cash. 2nd–dinner for 4 in Riverside Park Hotel. 3rd–€100 voucher for Holy Grail. 4th–€100 fuel voucher. 5th–Hand crafted wishing well from Wood Hub. Prizes 6 to 10–brandy whiskey and wine. Tickets €2 each or book of 3 for €5.
Blackstairs Community Playschool
Blackstairs Community Playschool is located in Kiltealy Community Centre. The facility includes two spacious and well equipped pre-school rooms and an outdoor purpose built play area.
We are now accepting applications for children aged over two years and five months and children eligible for the ECCE scheme for September 2021. The out of school club is also located in Kiltealy Community Centre.
The club operates from 7.30 am to 6 pm with children being dropped to and collected from Kiltealy N.S., There are also places available for children in the out-of-school club. If you would like to enrol your child in either of the above please contact Linda O’Leary on 087-9012194.
Local Link Bus
Local Link Bus Ballywilliam to Enniscorthy every Friday. Departs Ballywilliam 9.15 am, taking in Rathnure 9.25, Killanne 9.40, Kiltealy 9.45, Ballindaggin 9.55, arriving Enniscorthy 10.20 for a stay of two hours returning at 12.20.
You don’t need to book for scheduled services as they work to a timetable but you do need to book for a flexible service so we can find where your rural location is and see if we have a suitable service in your area. You can also register with us so we can pick you up every week without you having to call.
On a scheduled service the bus stops at the above listed locations. On the flexible service we will arrange a suitable pick up or if possible pick you up and drop you off at your door. Free travel pass holders and children under 5 years travel FREE. For further information call 053-9196276.

Following a few recent problems occurring around the toilets at Ballindaggin Community Park a security camera has been erected at the entrance to the building. In all 99% of people respect the facility. Please be observant of any unusual activity around the building.
