New Bus Service Route 384

Five return services per day, Monday to Saturday and four return services per day on Sunday. The service will provide improved connectivity around Wexford and Enniscorthy stopping through villages and areas such as Glynn, Killurin, Ballyhogue, Bree, Wilton and Tomnalosset. Sympathy is extended to the partner, sister, brothers, relations and friends of Ger Jordan, Gorey and formerly Knocknagross who died recently and was buried in Gorey on Friday.

Bree NS News

The Bree NS group of Liam Leacy, Mae Quigley, Annie Morris, Hazel Breen, Muireann Nic Eochaidh, Ava Carberry, Caoimhe Doyle, Laura Pollock won the 8 hand at Scór na bPáistí recently.

The U13 quiz team Hayden Clifford, Daniel Lambert, Emma Stafford, Dylan Tyrrell, Mark Smith has just qualified for the All-Ireland Finals while the U11 quiz team of Ava Carberry, Evie-Rose Cliffe, Liam Leacy, Eoghan Ennis won the Enniscorthy district and narrowly missed out on the All-Ireland finals.

Mass Times: Mass times for Caim are Sunday morning 10 a.m.; Wednesday morning 9.30 a.m.

Activement Retirement

Ferns and District Activement Retirement Association is fully operational now and would like to welcome new members to participate and enjoy the events on offer.

A three night break to the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal is planned from March 27 to March 30. The cost of the trip is €385 per person sharing. (Single room supplement is extra). Local Link bus service

Local Link Wexford run a bus service from Clologue via Ferns, Ballyduff & Camolin to Gorey every Tuesday & Friday morning, returning in early afternoon.There are scheduled stops but they can also pick passengers up from their homes, offering a door to door service along the route.

Lenten Talks–“Jesus At The Centre Of Christian Life”. Talks Will take place every Wednesday for Lent. This week’s talk is on Wednesday March 15th at 8:00pm in Pastoral Centre, Bunclody

Eucharstic Adoration takes place in Kilmyshall Church every Tuesday 10:00am–4:00pm. All Welcome.

Priest Visits: If you or a family member would like a visit at home or in hospital from your Priest, please let him know by contacting the Parish Office 053 9377188.

There will be no evening Mass in Kilmyshall on Wednesday 15th March, a Eucharistic Service will take place instead in the Oratory at 7:30pm.

No Mass in Kilmyshall on Thursday morning, Vigil Mass on Thursday evening will be at 8:00pm. St Patrick’s Day Mass will be at 10:00am, please note earlier time to facilitate those wanting to attend the parade.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Kiltealy

We are having our first ever St. Patrick’s Day parade in Kiltealy this year. The parade begins at 1 pm sharp. The many participants are asked to be in the Kiltealy Hall for 12.15 pm to get age groups etc. organised. Parking will be in Phil Bowe’s field opposite the church and along by the school.

We look forward to seeing everyone for a most enjoyable day. Motorists are advised that there will be traffic restrictions in Kiltealy village in the early afternoon during the duration of the parade. Many thanks to all in the community for your support.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Curragraigue

If you would like a St. Patrick’s Day parade with a difference, The Commons Curragraigue, Ballindaggin is the place to be at 11 am on St. Patrick’s Day where the annual parade has gone from strength to strength for the past six years. It’s become famous as the quickest and shortest parade in the world organised by folklorist Michael Fortune. A parade where you could see anything from wheelbarrows to a steam engine. A treat for all the family.

Strictly Come Dancing

Anna’s Strictly Come Dancing in The Riverside Park Hotel Good Friday night April 7th at 7.30 pm in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin (Cardiac Unity).

This is a very special cause to Anna Bowe, Kiltealy, Anna was very lucky to receive life saving heart surgeries in Crumlin, she spent the first three months of life in the hospital and a lot of time throughout her childhood. She got three open heart surgeries and many procedures which is the reason she’s so well today. Not only is the medical care in Crumlin second to none, but all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff create a caring, supportive and safe place for children and their families who are going through a very difficult time.

After first hand seeing and benefiting from the work they do and knowing how heavily they rely on fundraisers for vital medical equipment and research, Anna has decided to do this fundraiser and in some small way give back to them, and hopefully help the many other very sick children who are on a similar journey today.

Any support for this fundraiser will be greatly appreciated by Anna and by the Cardiac Unit in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. A great night’s entertainment guaranteed as our couples take to the stage, with a judging panel of local celebs. Tickets €15.

Sympathy

Deepest sympathy is extended to Kathleen Brophy, Mohurry, Kiltealy on the death of her sister Bridget Murray (née Brophy) Piercestown which occurred on March 9th. Burial took place in Piercestown Cemetery on Sunday last following the funeral Mass in Piercestown Church. May she rest in peace.

Walk for Motor Neurone Disease

There was a great turnout at Sunday morning’s walk for Irish Motor Neurone Disease with Kiltealy Community Development and Kiltealy Walking Trails in association with Wexford Walking Trails. €1,400 was raised on the day with more donations still to come in.
