OUTDOOR dining area licences will be issued to business owners in Enniscorthy once payment is received.

That was the news relayed to members of the local authority at their monthly meeting in the Presentation Centre.

District Manager, Claire Lawless, said correspondence was issued to businesses regarding such licences and that in a addition to licences being issues upon payment, she said those businesses that are found to be non-compliant with the conditions will be at risk of losing their licence.

In response to Ms Lawless’s report, Cllr Kathleen Codd-Nolan asked: “Was the fee waived on that recently?”

"I thought I heard something about that recently,” she added. "That would be good for small businesses in particular.”
