ONE of Ireland’s largest transport companies and one of the most well-known companies in County Wexford has made a major investment as it modernises its fleet of trucks.
Perennial Freight, has chosen to further modernise its fleet of commercial vehicles by placing an order for 26 new Mercedes-Benz heavy-duty Actros trucks.
The state-of-the-art trucks are widely regarded as being among the foremost tractor units within the haulage industry.
The new machines will replace the company’s outgoing Mercedes-Benz tractor units and it’s expected the delivery of the new Actros trucks will be carried out on a phased basis over the next two years.
The trucks will be finished in the company’s distinctive and well known cobalt blue livery
A spokesperson for the company said the first units will soon begin operation out of its Taghmon base in County Wexford and will serve daily routes across Ireland the UK and mainland Europe.
Perennial Freight was established in 1998 and has grown into on of Ireland’s true success stories.
The company now has offices in Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium, Holland and Poland.
