A NEW Ross business which specialises in lingerie has said it is ‘uplifted’ after a very challenging 20 months, to have been nominated for a Stars Underlines Award.
Making New Ross a destination town for shopping is once again Town and Country Mercantile on the Quay New Ross.
The owner, Bridget Ryan, said they were delighted to have been shortlisted for what is considered as the Oscars/Michelin Star Awards of the lingerie world awards: ‘Stars Underlines Awards’. This award is recognised within the industry as the highest recognition that any retailer can achieve.
“To be shortlisted among national and international names like Brown Thomas Dublin, John Lewis London, Fenwick and Frasers of London is simply phenomenal,” Ms Ryan said.
“These awards cover Ireland, England, Jersey and the Channel Islands. All the credit for achieving this level of recognition is down to our general manager Lorraine O’Neill and our wonderful staff.
“2021 has been an exceptional difficult year for all retailers and to end the year by achieving such recognition is really uplifting for all of us here at Town and Country.”
Although the business did not win out in the end, it was delighted with the recognition.
“It was a fantastic achievement to be finalists in these amazing awards.”
This year the business also received another highly recognised award in its beauty parlour and new skin clinic with another independent Phorest award for ‘Best Customer Care’.
“We have always believed that personal customer care was and is the cornerstone of our business and it looks like we were right. We are now looking forward to 2022 with a new and refreshed enthusiasm, and have many more exciting plans for the New Year.
“None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for our wonderful, loyal and expanding customer base, because they are the true judges of any business and we are so lucky to have such a fantastic group of returning customers.”
