Fatstock show and sale in Carnew is a huge success

Carnew Mart’s Cow Show and Sale attracted a tremendous crowd, with buyers from across the country bidding for and showing the best beef cows.
The event took place on Saturday, February 4 and had over 430 cows on offer.
The champion cow of the day was sold by Tommy Brennan, BBX 828kg at €3000. The other results were as follows: Stephen Campion LM 904kg at €2880 and Tommy Brennan BB 750kg at €2640.
The Annual Fatstock Show and Sale of Heifers took place on the same day and saw an outstanding yard of cattle with over 1250 head on offer. The atmosphere was electric around the ring with buyers from all parts of the country having to go the extra mile to get the good quality stock that there was huge demand for.
