Planning progress for new Hospice 12-bed unit

Fine Gael Senator Frank Feighan has been informed by his colleague Junior Health Minister, Jim Daly, that it's estimated that planning permission for the new North-West Hospice facility will be in place early next year.

"I raised this matter in the Seanad with Minister Daly. North-West Hospice is planning a significant project comprising a 12-bed unit along with day-care and outpatient facilities on the current hospice site with estimated costs of €8.5m.

"The Minister informed me that after the design and costings are finalised, the planning application will be submitted and will be in place by the end of Quarter 2 next year."
