Transformation of Adelaide Street begins with hair salon
One of Sligo's leading hair salons is expanding. Work on the Salon 2 extension has begun on Adelaide Street.
Anyone who has been along the street in the past couple of weeks will have seen the scaffolding around the salon, which will remain open during the works although the car park to the rear is currently closed.
The refurbishment plans by owners Deirdre and Anthony Kilcoyne includes incorporating the existing salon into two of the neighbouring units with a completely new modern look.
The new salon will have a bridal area also suitable for group bookings, as well as a sleek new look and spacious plush surroundings incorporating additional beauty services.
There will also be a new hairdressing academy with courses being run by the award winning Salon 2 team and external educators from all over the world. The team at Salon 2 look forward to beginning a new chapter to their 25 years in business at Adelaide Street. New shop fronts will be built along the entire length of the street, giving it a much needed facelift.
