Sadness at death of Samuel Joseph

A community was plunged into grief last Thursday at the death of toddler Samuel Joseph Varghese from Ardfinn, Sligo.

The 2-year-old boy passed away at Sligo University Hospital on Thursday morning, following a short illness. He is survived by his loving parents Jiji and Siji and brothers and sister, Aron, Joanne Mary and Paul Joseph.

He was laid to rest at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Scarden following a funeral service in the Cathedral of the Imamculate Conception, last Friday morning. Samuel Joseph was part of the Indian community in Sligo.

President of the Sligo Indian Association Anirban Bhanja said: "The entire community is devastated by the death of Samuel Joseph. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Our sympathies are with his family and we will rally around to support them through this difficult time."
