Get a glimpse into 1990s Tubbercurry with historic DVD
Back in 1997, Tubbercurry celebrated their 600th Anniversary of the founding of Tubbercurry, and a yearlong celebration of Tubbercurry 600.
This celebration included EU Commissioner, Rary McSharry officially opening the event and also included President Mary Robinson visiting Tubbercurry for the Old Fair Day in August 1997.
As part of the celebrations, local camera man Tom Walsh recorded "A Day in the Life of Tubbercurry", starting at 6am until 12 midnight.
It includes children coming and going to school, businesses and workers going about their days work and various interviews.
A new DVD - "Tubbercurry, A Day in the Life" is now available for sale at €15, and would be of great interest to anybody or any family from the town or area.
Proceeds of the sales will go to help replace the Christmas lights which were stolen last week.
The DVD will be available for sale in various outlets over the next few weeks, and would make an ideal Christmas stocking filler.
