Drama workshops aim to boost confidence
Drama workshops taking place in Tubbercurry aim to "bring out the creative side" of children participating.
Peter Sinclair, an actor who has featured in shows such as 'Game of Thrones' and 'Vikings' is started a ten week programme of his Bannerlord drama workshops in Tubbercurry.
The workshops would take place on Saturdays for an hour and a half and cost €85.
"This is a fun drama workshop. Children will get to do improvs and warm-ups. We aim to bring out their creativity. We want to let them run away with it," he told The Sligo Champion.
"The workshops are aimed at motivating children and building up their confidence through drama.
"Drama is a very good tool for confidence building. It gets rid of all inhibitions and it sort of makes you not scared of being silly," Mr. Sinclair added.
"It's something for children in Tubbercurry and the surrounding areas to do and it's aimed at kids having fun and enjoying themselves.
The workshops are aimed at children from the age of ten upwards.
The workshops will take place at the South Sligo Enterprise Centre in Tubbercurry.
