Memorial Tractor Run

The JJ McHugh Memorial tractor run in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice will take place on Easter Monday, April 22, from Julians of Midfield, Swinford. Registration at 1 p.m. Run starting at 2 p.m. All types of tractors, vintage vehicles and trucks welcome.

Car treasure hunt

A car treasure hunt hosted by Leap Easkey will take place in Easkey on Easter Monday, April 22. Registration will take place in the Castle Inn, Easkey from 3 p.m. This will be a Leap fundraising event.

Tom Calpin r.i.p.

The death has taken place on April 6 of Tom Calpin, Ballyshannon, Co Donegal and formerly of Cabra, Rathlee. Burial took place in the Abbey Assaroe Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to his wife Joan and family.

West Sligo Family Resource Centre will hold their annual general meeting on Wednesday, May 1 at 10 a.m.

'Come Cook with Us'

The Kennedy Family Trust are holding a fundraising event 'Come Cook with Us' with Chef Joe Shannon in the Diamond Coast Hotel Enniscrone on Thursday, May 9, Admission is €15.

This is an event to get funding to adapt the Kennedy Family home in Skreen for Noel and his son Adam, if they are both to enjoy something approaching a comfortable and safe living situation. A family day and Easter Egg hunt takes place at Kilglass House and Woodland on Saturday, April 20 from 12.30 to 2.30 p.m.

Blood Donation clinic

A Blood Donation clinic organised by St Patrick's GAA Club will be held in Skreen-Dromard community centre on today, Tuesday, April 16, from 5 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Cooper 5km Fun Walk

The Super Cooper Reunion 5Km fun walk, wheel, jog, and run takes place on Friday, April 19, at 4 p.m. starting at the Diamond Coast Hotel. Jenna will be participating herself this year and the route will be fully accessible for wheel chair users. More information on Facebook@supercooper5km

Next walk on April 20 is Kilcummin. Level: Easy. Terrain: Road/Beach. Length: 3hours. All walks start from Enniscrone Tourist Office at 9.30 a.m. unless stated otherwise. All walks subject to change pending weather or other conditions at the time.

There was no winner of the €2,000 jackpot when the blotto draw took place on Saturday, April 6, in the Pilot Bar. Numbers drawn were 15, 17, 34 and €25 winners were Tommy McNulty, Phyllis Finnerty, Eabhe Deehan and Connor Wall jackpot for the next draw is €2,200 and will take place in McNulty's Bar on April 13.

Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey under-21s got their A championship campaign off to a winning start with a 4-21 to 3-10 win over St Mary's at Quigabar on Sunday. They play Tubbercurry/Cloonacool next Sunday in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry, where a win will ensure their progression to the knockout stages. The game has a 1 p.m. throw-in time.

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor footballers play Curry away in their next league fixture on Friday next at 6.30 p.m.

Our under-16s had a 3-8 to 3-6 win over Coolaney-Mullinabreena in the B league last week. They play St Patrick's tomorrow (Monday) at 6.30 p.m. in Dromard in round two.

The under-14s get their year up and running next Thursday evening with a home game against St Patrick's at 6.30 p.m.

Sympathy - The club was very saddened to learn of the passing of Helena Murphy (née Tuffy) last week. Helena was a good supporter of our club and was eager to help on the catering front on multiple occasions in the past. The club provided a guard of honour after last Thursdays funeral Mass, and last week's under-12 match was also postponed as a mark of respect. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Murphy and Tuffy families at this difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Coffee morning Thanks

Joan and Aidan Kiely, Carravard and the Higgins family thank everyone most sincerely for their recent support of their coffee morning. A total of €876.20 was raised and this will be donated to the Maternity Bereavement Suite at Sligo University Hospital. The presentation will be made by the parents and three Sisters of Jake on November 29 next.

Beltra Country Market

Beltra Country Market on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to midday will host an Easter Bonnet competition for adults and children plus an Easter Egg Hunt and Tombola. Everyone welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.
