Memorial tractor run
The JJ McHugh Memorial tractor run in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice will take place on Easter Monday, April 22, from Julians of Midfield, Swinford. Registration at 1 p.m. Run starting at 2 p.m. All types of tractors, vintage vehicles and trucks welcome. Refreshments after event with music by Eunice Moran. Entry fee €20. A shore-line clean-up has been organised for both Rathlee and Easkey on Saturday, April 13.Volunteers are needed to make themselves available to help on that day. We are aware that volunteers constantly pick-up litter around both shores for which we are extremely thankful.
This clean-up has been organised as part of the 'National Spring Clean 2019'.
Volunteers can meet at 11 a.m. at Roslea Castle for Easkey and Rathlee Shore (The Long Rock) for Rathlee.
Car treasure hunt
A car treasure hunt hosted by Leap Easkey will take place in Easkey on Easter Monday, April 22. Registration will take place in the Castle Inn, Easkey from 3 p.m. This will be a Leap fundraising event.
The death has taken place in Chingford, London of Celia Langridge, formerly Celia Queenan of Carranduff, Kilglass. The death has also taken place in New Jersey of Kathleen Nolan formerly Kathleen Clarke of Cabra, Rathlee. Sympathy is extended to the Queenan and Clarke families.
Dromore West Village Enhancement Committee's Spring Fest is returning on Sunday, April 14, with various community and family events. This will be taking place in Dromore West Community Centre from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature various suppliers, crafters and organisations within the eco-friendly sector including Voice recycling, Inland waterways and Clean Coast Ireland to name but a few. A Blood Donation clinic organised by St Patrick's GAA Club will be held in Skreen-Dromard community centre on Tuesday, April 16.
Community Spring Clean
On Good Friday, April 19, there will be a Community Spring Clean in Dromore West starting at 10.30 a.m., meeting at the community centre.

The Easkey Castle annual 5k/10K/10 Miler Fun Run takes place on Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. Online registration is open including family registration. Guarantee your race t shirt by registering on njuko.

25 card game
A progressive 25 card game is held in Easkey in the school beside the church on Sundays at 9 p.m. Winners from March 31 are; 1. Michael Kelly and JP McGuire; 2. Sympathy is extended to Tommy Murphy on the death of his wife Helena (née Tuffy) Carrowcollar, Kilglass, and late of Fiddane Enniscrone, Co Sligo. Our Intermediate team suffered an opening round defeat to Geevagh in Division Two of the Senior Football League last Sunday. The home side ended as convincing 2-19 to 1-8 winners in Geevagh. Trailing by 1-8 to 1-2 at half-time, our lads had chances to trim the deficit before the break and showed promising signs at the start of the second half, but ultimately Geevagh were deserving winners. The team and management will hope for significant improvement ahead of the visit of Drumcliffe-Rosses Point to Quigabar on Easter weekend (April 20/21).
The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey under-21s are set to begin their A championship campaign next Sunday at 1 p.m. against St Mary's in Quigabar.
The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor footballers play Curry away in their next league fixture on April 12.
Our under-16s host Coolaney-Mullinabreena in the B league tomorrow (Monday) at 6.30 p.m.
The under-14s get their year up and running on April 11 with a home game against St Patrick's. Well done to Gavin Duffy and Oisin Hynes, who were both involved in the Sligo minor footballers impressive one-point win over Donegal in the Ulster Minor League last Saturday. The team is managed by Michael Duffy.
Blotto - Two in a row. For the second week in succession, the blotto jackpot has been won. Drama in Skreen
Skreen-Dromard Drama Group are staging a three-act comedy 'Holy Orders' by Martin Donohue In Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Friday the 12th. Saturday the 13th. Sunday, April 14, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7.30 tickets can be got on the door. Proceeds of this play are for the upkeep of the community centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Social bridge club
Enniscrone Social Bridge Club is held weekly at the Diamond Coast Hotel, commencing at 7.30 the clubs AGM will take place on March 10, after which the annual party is held before the summer recess.

Sligo branch of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland will be holding a Remembrance 6.5k Walk/Run to celebrate the lives of those that have sadly been lost to Cystic Fibrosis. As part of CF Awareness Week (65 Roses) this walk/run will take place in Doorly Park, Sligo on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. Registration in Doorly Park car park Saturday morning before race from 10 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. Everyone welcome. Riverstown Community Games Athletics Finals will take place on Sunday, May 19, in Riverstown Community Park. The day's events will start with a Fancy dress parade leaving Homeland Store in Riverstown at 1.15 p.m. This will be followed by athletics finals in Community Park at 2 p.m. and medal presentation. Gaelic four Mothers and Others
Gaelic four Mothers and Others is a fun, non-competitive group that meet every Monday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. to play Gaelic Football. No experience is required but you need to be over 25. The group will be starting back on Monday, April 8, and new members are always welcome.
Little Buddies will be running a four-day Easter Camp from April 15 to April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be activities, fun, games and many egg-cellent surprises for children between 5 and 12 years old.
