Ballymote - Lotto: There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on November 17 Numbers drawn were 4, 14, 17 and 18. There was one match-three winner, name of winner displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at €6,200. The next draw will take place in Tighe's Old Stand on Saturday, December 8, Thank you for your continued support.
Family Resource Centre
A Christmas Camp will be held on December 14 from 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., suitable for five to 11 years. Cost is eight euro per child. Spaces are limited.

Text Alert Scheme AGM
The AGM of Ballymote/Doo Community Text Alert Scheme will take place tonight Tuesday, November 27, at 9 p.m. in the Pastoral Centre, Ballymote. Existing and new subscribers are urged to attend.
Ballymote North West Hospice Support Group will be holding their annual Christmas Bazaar in the Loftus Hall on Sunday, December 2, commencing at 2 p.m. Events will include ticket sales with great Stage prizes, bric-à-brac and Santa will be dropping by. For the children there will be Lucky Dip and Burst the Balloon. Tea and coffee will also be served along with some nice buns and biscuits. Please come along on the day and bring a friend and help support this worthy cause.
The exhibition of WW1 stories and WW1 memorabilia continues at Ballymote Community Library till Saturday, December 8, Coleman Music Centre.
Frances Black and Kieran Goss will perform live in concert in the Coleman Music Centre in Gurteen as part of their Reunion Tour on December 30 at 8.30 p.m. This is the only performance in the west of Ireland on this tour so don't miss out. Coolaney Women's Group Meetings will continue in Coolaney Community Centre Thursdays at 10.30 a.m. The interactive classes include activities, occasional days out and professional people to give talks and classes. New members are very welcome. Open to all ages.

Coolaney United Wednesday Night Bonus Ball Draw is to support fundraising efforts for the proposed new Astro Pitch in Coolaney Community park. Each Bonus Ball is €5 with a weekly prize of €100. Bonus balls can be purchased in PK MEATS on Thursday and Fridays and in O'Grady's shop and Pub the rest of the week. Best of luck to all.
Junior Youth Group
Meetings are held every Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Coolaney Community Centre for Youths between the ages of 12-15.

Young Explorers Childcare is having our toddler, Preschool and Afterschool Care open day on Saturday, December 8, at 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Young Explorers Purpose Built Facility in Abhainn Mór, Collooney. We will be giving tours of the building and outdoor areas and will be able to provide support to parents wishing to complete enrolment forms. Enrolment packs will be available on the day. We advise early booking to guarantee your place for January/September 2019. We are providers of the Affordable Childcare Subvention Schemes. We open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for 50 weeks of the year.

THE death took place on November 15 of Pat (Patsy) Gillespie, Ballybrooney, Killala Co. Mayo. He was father of Fergal, Boyle Road, Gurteen. Sincere sympathy is extended to Fergal and wife Siobhán and to all the family on their bereavement. May rest in peace.
THE death took place at Ard na Greine Nursing Home, Enniscrone on Sunday, November 18, of Kathleen Coleman, Woodlawns, Enniscrone. She was a native of Cuilmore, Gurteen and with her late husband Anthony attended all Comhaltas meetings and helped at all the County Fleadhs and other Comhaltas events in Sligo for a very long number of years. She was a quiet, unassuming lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Her remains reposed at McGowan's Funeral Home on Wednesday evening and were removed to the Church of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Friday with burial afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery, Kilglass. She is survived by her sons Anthony and John, daughters-in-law, her sister Bridie, nieces Carmel, Kathleen and Beatrice, grandchildren, extended family and many friends. May she rest in peace.

There will be an open evening and enrolment in Corran College, Ballymote on this Thursday, November 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The presidents address will be at 7.30 p.m. Parents and pupils from fifth and sixth class are invited to attend. Parents are advised to bring their child's birth certificate with them.
Bingo takes place every Friday night in Gurteen Hall at 8.30 p.m. Proceeds goes to the upkeep of the hall and the local Eastern Harps GAA Club. Big prizemoney to be won on the night.
Gurteen Post Office
The fight to keep Gurteen post office open goes on and the committee meet every week and are thankful and heartened with the co-operation from the public. People are asked to please keep using all the facilities at the post office.
Donation to hospice
Gerry Shyrane wishes to thanks family and friends for kind gifts on the occasion of his 90th birthday on September 7. Gerry gave a donation of €500 to Culfadda Northwest Hospice fund. Well done to all concerned.
The annual Christmas Community party takes place on Sunday, December 2, at 2 p.m. in the Foxes Den. This have proven a wonderful day for all our senior citizens down through the years.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Tractor, Honda and Vintage Car run in aid of Culfadda Community Defibrillator. A total of €4,700 was raised on the day. The money will be used to buy two new defibrillators for the area and training equipment for the Community First Responser Group.
The annual Keash Bazaar will take place at the White Hall, Keash on Sunday, December 9, at 7 p.m. Donations of prizes would be much appreciated. Donations can be dropped into the hall on Friday, December 7, at 7 p.m. or on the night of the Bazaar.
Tickets for the Christmas Draw with €400 in prizes are now on sale from committee members and local shops. Funds raised support local projects.
