Ballymote: Corran AC table quiz - Corran AC will host a table quiz in the Coach House Hotel on Friday, March 20, at 9 p.m. Table of four €40. We are selling table tickets for our fundraising quiz at both kid's and adult's training sessions. Top prize €100 plus many more spot prizes. Bingo

Bingo continues every Wednesday at 8.30 p.m. in the Art Deco Ballymote. Jackpot now at €3,500 and lotto game stands at €400. All proceeds goes towards the upkeep of football pitches and the walking/running track in Ballymote. Your support is appreciated and you might be lucky on the night.

COOLANEY COMMUNITY GAMESCANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

County Draughts Results: Congratulations to our under-10s team (Aran Muldowney, Fionnan Lynch, Emma McHugh, Ciaran Coleman, Katelyn McCullagh, Emma Burrows, Matthew Ross) and under-14s team (Riain Maloney, Christopher Marren, Calum McCullagh, Adam Henry, Kyle Kelly, Owen Marren, Cormac Price) Draughts teams who won GOLD at the recent Community Games County Finals. They now go on to represent Sligo at the Connaught Finals in Roscommon. Commiserations to our under-12s team (Katie McHugh, Callum Henry, Dylan Lynch, Chloe McCullagh, Noah Ross, Cora McHugh) who narrowly lost out in the semi-final.

Blue Kidz Academy: Cancelled till further notice.

Healthy Club Project: Our club has recently been accepted into phase four of the Croke Park National Healthy Club Project. We're excited about the prospects of what we can deliver under this initiative. This work will be an extension of our club remit, taking us into a new era where we feel there is great potential to contribute to our wider community in a very positive way with regard to all matters relating to general health and Wellness. Following on from our successful first event of Daniel Davey's Nutrition Talk, we are now forming a new committee to continue the work of this initiative. Club Membership 2020: Now open. We remind all our players, coaches and supporters to become members for the upcoming year.

Club lotto: Our Club Supporters' lotto is now up for renewal and we are also encouraging new subscribers in 2020. Thanks to all those who have signed up to date. We've had an excellent response. Contact any committee member or coach for details. This is our principal fundraiser for the club's day to day expenses.

RECENT DEATHS

The death took place on February 12 in Chorley, England of Joe Flanagan a native of Cuilmore, Gurteen - he was brother of the late Thomas of Cuilmore and Gurteen and he is survived by his sister Beatie Keane, England. Sincere sympathy is extended to Beatie: to his sister-in-law Patricia Flanagan, Gurteen and to all his relations and friends. May he rest in Peace.

THE death took place on March 1 of PJ Carroll, Liscannor, Co.Clare he was brother of Mary Costello, Lisballely, Gurteen. Sincere sympathy is extended to Mary and her family on their bereavement. May he rest in Peace.

ACTIVE AGE GROUP

BINGO

Bingo is held every Friday in Gurteen Hall at 8.30 p.m. Jackpot is €1,700 on 45 calls plus the lotto game of €500 plus all the other generous cash prizes. Proceeds is shared by the hall committee and the Eastern Harps GAA Club.

COUNTY SLIGO FLEADH

The Sligo County Fleadh 2020 will be held in Riverstown hosted by Riverstown Branch of CCE on the Bank Holiday week end 30 and May 31. Closing date for all entries is Saturday, March 28, and entries should be sent to all Branch secretaries.

Entry forms for Riverstown Fleadh for Craobh Coleman members can be got in the Coleman Centre and filled and left there for the Branch secretary Peggy Gaffney, by closing date March 28. No entries will be accepted after that date.

Deaths

We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Chrissy Lennings née Flynn and Tommy Coleman. Chrissie died in England recently and is formerly of Drumnagranshy. Chrissie is an aunt of Paddy Brennan Cletta, Vincent McDermott Larkhill and John Cryan, Drumnagranshy. Tommy died in England recently and originates from Rathmullen. Please note that both churches within our parish remain open. There is a special prayer left at the candlebra's (candle stands) within the church's and people are Invited at different times during the day to come and pray at this important time and ask for Gods guidance for us all, through these difficult times. Please be mindful of people living close by who are possibly vulnerable or frightened at this time. Please phone these people and ensure that they have their essentials. Please assist them in a responsible way where they need your help. Please think carefully before coming in contact with others (especially those who maybe vulnerable). Before leaving home each morning, each of us individually need to think of how we potentially come in contact with others during that day. We each need to take responsibility and make sure such contact is necessary and that all necessary safeguards are in place and being respected by all.
