Ballinacarrow: Cash for Clobber - Asking everyone to have one last clean of your wardrobes and donate any unneeded items to the Cash for Clobber collection at Owenmore Gaels. This is a fundraiser for our girls and boys' team taking part in the Féile Competition at the end of June. Items wanted include bed clothes, curtains, shoes and bags. Items can be dropped into the clubhouse or to any club member.
Father's Day dinner
Rathbarron Parish, Coolaney, are hosting their annual Father's Day dinner on Sunday, June 16. There will be four sittings at 12, 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Booking is essential and you can do this by calling Deb at 071 9189680 between 6.10 p.m. All proceeds from this event go towards parish funds and all support on the day is appreciated.

Defibrillator Group Fundraiser
Ballymote Defibrillator Group are holding a monster fundraising raffle in the Coach house hotel on Friday, June 14, at 9 p.m. Over 30 fantastic prizes to be won including a hotel and meal voucher, tablet, bog oak clock, lots of gift vouchers, hampers, bottles of whiskey and some unique prizes.
Raffle tickets only €5 and are available from any committee member (contact 087 9759762). We are also raffling two Celtic FC home match tickets on the night. There will also be a DJ and finger food. There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on Saturday, May 25. Numbers drawn were 6, 8, 10 and 26. There were four match-three winners. Names of winners displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at €8,800. The next draw will take place in Gormley's Corner House on Saturday, June 8, Thank you for your support. As the SuperValu National Tidy Town's Competition starts on June 1 we are encouraging all residents of Coolaney and Rockfield to #makeithappen and 'Pick up one piece of litter a day'.
Pre-summer Pick Me Up for Parents
While on one level we know we only have 18 summers with our children, on another level it's difficult sometimes to pull our energy together to embrace the challenge of the long summer holidays. This Pre-summer Pick Me Up aims to provide parents with some self-care tools, with an emphasis on self-care, breathing, mindfulness and an acknowledgement of YOU being the good enough parent despite your mental chatter telling you otherwise.
Facilitated by a seasoned and 'surviving' Mum to four children, Fionnuala Mitchell also Psychotherapist at Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre. This workshop is free and will take place on Tuesday, June 4, at 10 a.m. To book a place contact the FRC at 071 9186926.
Mother Baby Group
The mother baby group meets in the Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre every Wednesday from 10.30 a.m. The group is informal, and mums come for a chat and a cuppa.
On occasion activities take place or guest speakers are invited to talk to the group on topics of interest. A warm welcome awaits.
Community Park Fundraiser
As part of the fundraising effort for the Coolaney Community Park and to pay off the €80,000 loan, a new fundraiser has been launched called 'Lamb for Coolaney Community Park' where local farmers are being asked to donate a Lamb.
The scheme works by farmers choosing one Lamb to rear per usual, and when it comes to selling the lamb, you donate the proceeds to the Coolaney Community Park Astro Pitch Fund. All farmers who participate will receive recognition via a sign to be erected at the location of the Astro Pitch.
Also, thanks to our friends in Aurivo co-op stores, we will give you a 25kg bag of Nutrias Lamb feed to assist with feeding the lamb. Blue Kidz Training: Training continues Saturday mornings. New parents and children are very welcome to come alon.
Club lotto: The 2019 Coolaney-Mullinabreena Club Supporter's lotto now launched. All support is greatly appreciated, and proceeds go towards day to day expenses and Nace O'Dowd Park Development.

Foróige Club is for secondary school youths aged 12 to 18. The club takes place every Friday evening in the Coolaney Community Centre.
Card game takes place in Killoran Community Centre on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. and in Ballinacarrow Community Centre on Thursdays at 9 p.m. All are very welcome.
Coolaney Women's Group Meetings continue in Coolaney Community Centre Thursdays at 10.30 a.m. The interactive classes include activities, occasional days out and professional people to give talks and classes. Open to all ages.
Junior Youth Group
Meetings are every Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Coolaney Community Centre for Youths between the ages of 12-15.

A table quiz will take place on Saturday, June 15, in the Hill Hotel, Gurteen at 9 p.m. - teams of four - €40. Proceeds will go to Gurteen Games Company and playground. There are currently a lot of work taking place - car park - zip line etc which adds extra insurance costs so please organise a team and take part.
Post Office meeting
Gurteen post office action committee are arranging a function on next Sunday evening, June 9, to thank Mary Murphy for her most friendly and trusting years of service to the community on her retirement after more than 50 years - starting on the telephone exchange, then as assistant to Mary Alice and as Post Mistress for the past eighteen years.
Any other group who wish to be associated are welcome.
Shaskeen in concert
