Message from Fr Jim 2018: 'A light shall shine upon us this day; for the Lord is born to us. And He shall be called Wonderful, God, prince of peace, Father of the world to come; of whose reign there shall be no end.'.

I would like to wish each parishioner a very happy, holy and peaceful Christmas and blessings in 2019. Welcome to all who are visiting our parish during the Christmas Period. Thank you for attending and supporting our parish during the year. Your presence and participation is what makes our Liturgies so sacred and special. Many people help out in our parish during the year and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their time and energy.

A special thank you to our sacristan's Christy Murphy and Mary Theresa Scanlon. To the various people who help with our Parish Ministries, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, Collectors, Counters and member of the Altar Society, who have set the tone and scene in our church for the Christmas Season.

To the various Parish Co-ordinators of our ministries who organise and distribute the various rotas during the year. Thank You.

To the individual members of the Parish Choir, who add so much to our Liturgies during the year. To the members of our Folk Choir which is so prominent at the 11.30 a.m. Sunday Mass. A special thank you to Ray Cotter, who co-ordinates both choirs.

Once again our Crib is situated at the front of the Altar, giving us the real message of Christmas. I would like to thank Martin F Scanlon, David Kivlehan and Damien Scanlon, who worked so hard on this project. I would encourage you to visit the Crib during the Christmas period. Christmas Candles in memory of absent friends or our deceased are available after all Christmas Masses.

Finally, I ask Jesus, through his holy Mother, to bestow on you and your household the beautiful blessings of Love in the heart, Peace in the mind and Joy in the soul and with the assurance of a remembrance in prayer and Mass this Christmas and through the New Year.
