Achonry-Mullinabreena: The Coolaney-Mullinabreena AGM was held in St Nathy's Hall on January 6. Fr Paul Kivlehan in his chairman's address thanked all the players, team coaches, people who helped at fundraising, officers of the club and all the people who supported the club in any way over the past year.
Fr Paul also thanked all of our sponsors over the past year and in particular our main sponsor the CMD group who have supported the club very generously over the past number of years.
Fr Paul remembered all of the people who were connected to the club in any way that passed away during the past 12 months.
A special tribute was paid to Tom Waters from Aclare, who did such great work in his time working at Nace O'Dowd Park, who died suddenly in November of last year.
The club wish to thank Fr Paul, who stepped down from the chair after five successful years of great service and dedication to the club.

There is a Blood Donation Clinic in St Brigid's Hall, Tubbercurry on Thursday, February 7, from 4.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
As always, the demand for blood continues and every possible donation is desperately needed. Injured and sick people live because other people give.
Blood is life and giving some is one of the greatest gesture of love and care that most people will ever have chance to avail of.

25 Card Game
The popular 25 card game continues every Friday in St Nathy's Hall at 8.30 p.m. New players are always welcome.
Set dancing continues in St Nathy's Hall every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Junior sets are from 7.45 p.m. till 8.30 p.m. and proving really popular in recent weeks. If sufficient numbers attend, the classes will continue for the winter.

There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on January 19 Numbers drawn were 3, 11, 23 and 28. There was no match-three winner, 50, 30 and €20 winners displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at €7,000. 'Mná Na Búille Women Of Boyle' is now available in the Una Bhan Tourism Craft Shop in the grounds of King House, Boyle. A book filled with memories and stories of 20 Boyle women reflecting growing up in the community; going to school, the chores they had to do, how they socialised and much more.

This is a request for families who had a child for First Holy Communion in the last few years. If you have a copy of 'Thumb' in good condition land no longer need it and would be willing to donate it as it is out of print and no longer available. Lough Key sprint triathlon
Race takes place Sunday, September 1 - Entries Open 9 a.m. February 1 on the Triathlon Ireland website. Entries will be limited to 500 competitors and as one of the final rounds of the BMW National Series we are expecting a sell-out entry like previous years.
All Shook Up
Tickets are now on sale for Abbey Community College's production of 'All Shook Up'. The musical will take place in St Joseph's Hall on February 13, 14 and 15 at 8 p.m.

Spring health wellbeing and craft fair
Bookings are now being taken for the Spring Health and Wellbeing Craft Fair that will take place in Boyle on Sunday, March 10, The fair will take place in the Spool Factory Event Centre from midday to 6 p.m. The event will feature complementary therapists, crafters, soap makers, crystals etc. For more details, contact Lucy at 089 6014843. 'I'm a Celebrity'
Excitement is building ahead of next year's Boyle GAA organised 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' fundraiser. The event will take place on Saturday, March 16, in St Joseph's Hall. 24 contestants will battle it out to see who is the 'King or Queen of the Jungle'.
The main sponsor of the night is Land Escape Pty Ltd, the Australian company run by Boyle man Pádraig Sweeney. Based on the popular TV show, this event is unlike anything you have seen before. Contestants are fully dressed in their campsite costumes and compete alongside live snakes, reptiles and spiders surrounded by a jungle background.
The all-weather Courtyard Market takes place every Saturday in the grounds of King House, Boyle from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. If you would like to enjoy the best locally grown fresh and organic produce, then a trip to the Courtyard Market should be on your agenda.
There is a wide range of seasonal produce, including organic fruit and vegetables, homemade jams and marmalade, organic free range eggs, fruit juices, gluten free/sour dough/spelt bread and all kinds of delicious home bakes are available every week.

NATIONAL LEAGUE GAME - The club is delighted to have the honour of hosting Sligo's opening National League game against Down on Sunday, February 3. It will be a busy three weeks to get plans in place and grounds up to scratch, but a challenge we are relishing.
The club is currently reaching out to local businesses to advertise at Connolly Park in the form of a pitchside sign.
With our new stand and excellent location we are getting more major games each year with large attendances guaranteed. Nursery Programme - Owenmore Gaels are hosting a Nursery Programme in the Teeling Centre Collooney from Wednesday, January 23, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. This is an introduction to Gaelic Football for kids in the community in a fun filled environment. It will run for six weeks and it's €2 per child. This is aimed for children aged between 4-6, born in 2013-2014. Parents are invited to participate in activities. Save Gurteen PO
Gurteen 'Save the post office' committee continue with the campaign and meet regularly in the Health Centre. The post office has got another reprieve for the month of February All the many customers of the PO are advised to keep using all the facilities there. The committee are looking forward to better news soon.
Bingo takes place every Friday night in Gurteen Hall at 8.30 p.m. Jackpot is €2,100 in 45 calls and the lotto game is €600 Proceeds goes to the upkeep of the hall and the local Eastern Harps GAA Club.
