Sligo is well represented this year at Miss Ireland on September 5th with three contenders for the coveted Miss Ireland crown.

Miss Sligo is Orla Quinn, (25) and originally from Roscommon Town but moved to Sligo where she works as a Mobile Support Specialist for Bank of Ireland. Orla is a keen lover of fashion and is also fluent in Irish.

Miss Sligo Town is Viktorija Baklastova, (22), currently studying International Business and French at TU Dublin. Miss Sligo South is Emma Doyle (18) from Tubbercurry.

Emma sings part time and hopes to study Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. The 18th Century Killua Castle in County Westmeath is the venue for Miss Ireland 2021.

This year, the final of Miss Ireland will be an outdoor show against the backdrop of the castle on September 5th.

Current Miss World Toni-Ann Singh has been invited to jet in from Jamaica for the choreographed show which will feature a light display and an eclectic mix of music and entertainment as the 30 finalists descend an outdoor stone staircase to the castle gardens.

The winner of Miss Ireland 2021 will receive an agency contract and a host of prizes including jewellery, gowns, a professional photo shoot, beauty and hair products and then go on to represent her country and take part in the 70th Miss World festival which will take place in Puerto Rico in December.

In the lead up to the final Miss Sligo, Orla Quinn is hosting a Disney themed charity car wash in aid of charity, Variety Ireland. The car wash is being held on Saturday 26th June at Sligo Rugby Club from 11am to 4pm.

The charity which provides items and services to help individuals, families and schools cater for Children with both mental and physical disabilities.
