Mullaghmore has the 'wow' factor
Mullaghmore has certainly got the 'wow' factor. And now more people can sample it on the Wild Atlantic Way.
An event to promote Mullaghmore took place recently in the coastal village.
It was organised by IT Sligo final year business degree students with members of the Mullaghmore community and business owners.
It included a number of talks about Mullaghmore.
Among the speakers were author and historian Joe McGowan, author Dr Prannie Ratigan, Rural Development Officer Deirdre Kennedy and Big Wave Surfers Paul O'Kane and Dylan Stott.
It was the first time Mullaghmore community members, business owners and members of the surfing community collaborated.
Now, it is hoped the event was a starting point for more events and networking in the future.
THE government is this year spending €10m on the Wild Atlantic Way, a 2,500-km driving route from Donegal to Cork aimed at attracting more visitors.
