Boyle couple Carlo Cretaro and Florence Murphy have been travelling since 2005, but recently they decided to turn their hobby into a full-time job.
Before their crazy adventures began, Carlo owned a small poker company while Florence was a childcare practitioner. Carlo admits leaving behind steady incomes for a life of travel blogging was a decision the pair didn't take lightly. Carlo said: "The world is a big place, we wanted to visit new countries, explore different cultures and meet new people. At first, our blog was our way of recording our memories and keeping our family and friends informed of our adventures but it has moved on since then."
He added: "We are lucky to get to experience new things, visit amazing places and meet very interesting people while on the road. Travelling is exciting, it's fascinating and makes us both feel like we are truly living." The couple's main income comes from freelance writing including their own blog, nextstopwhoknows.com. Carlo said he would advise anyone to take a similar path. He said: "All you need is work ethic, a willingness to learn, a solid Internet connection and a PayPal account."
