Rory Best - A life in Rugby, BBC1, Wednesday 10.40pm: What a year for Ireland and their captain, Rory Best as they lifted the Six Nations trophy with an epic Grand Slam and followed in the autumn series with a famous win over the All Blacks.

Now on the cusp of the Six Nations defence which starts at home this weekend with the visit of England and a World Cup to look forward to this programme features the Ulster man and what he puts into being at the top of his game and trying to stay there when he will be 37-years-old when the World Cup comes around.

Ireland start their defence of their Six Nations title with a home match against the auld enemy, England in the Aviva Stadium. This match is the third and final match of the opening weekend, with France hosting Wales on Friday night and Scotland hosting Italy earlier on Saturday afternoon. Can Ireland maintain their form of 2018 and keep their momentum ahead of this year's World Cup in Japan.
