Its all about the original music for local band, Burning Shades, who are set to perform next week in the upcoming 2fm 2moro 2our.
And for Stephen Caheny, Neill McGarry, Stephen Horan and Kevin Keogh, this gig will be an opportunity to get their music, with an alternative rock sound, out to the masses.
“We are really looking forward to it as we were even trying to get a gig in the Garavogue before this happened,” said Burning Shades guitarist Neill.
Formed just over a year ago, the band have already giged in America, touring Boston for three months.
Neill explained that all the band members have an input in the songs, allowing each melody to have a different edge.
He added that those attending the Left Bank next Tuesday night, will not only have the opportunity to see them play their set live but also pick up their new EP, “Vapour Trail”, which they recorded in Boston.
The band are also hoping to acquire a van during the summer, allowing them to gig further afield.
“It’s an exciting time for us,” added Neill.
Tickets for the event, which is free, are now available from the RTÉ 2fm website, www.rte.ie/2fm and for more information on the Burning Shades log on to www.myspace.com/burningshades13.
