A Sligo band looks set to rock the airwaves when RTÉ’s 2FM brings the music to the masses next month.

Applications are now being sought for budding musicians to be part of the music magic and to be in with a chance of joining three other up and coming bands, Messiah J and The Expert, Giveamanakick and The Flaws at The Left Bank on Tuesday, May 22.

The first RTÉ 2fm 2moro 2our took place in November last, and featured Sligo band, Plastic Rose, who have gone on to nationwide success.

“It’s amazing being involved in the RTÉ 2fm 2moro 2our,” said Messiah J and The Expert.

“We’re so thrilled as the bill is very diverse and it’s going to be a noisy old knees up altogether. It will be amazing to play venues all over the country and there are so many spots we are dying to play.”

The closing date for applications is Friday, April 21 and these are available from logging on to www.rte.ie/2fm. The chosen bands will be announced on The Waiting Room with Jenny Huston on Friday, April 27.

Tickets are free and available now from the RTÉ 2fm website.
