Arts festival returns to Boyle
The popular Boyle Arts Festival returns to the town at the end of July. This is the 25th year of the event.
Running from July 25th until August 2nd, the programme includes an eclectic mix of visual arts, music, drama, film, readings, workshops and more.
Dromore West's Kieran Goss is launching the festival, with a special performance in King House on Friday, July 25th.
The excellent We Cut Corners are making an appearance, as are Sligo outfit The Corner Boys.
Mícheál O'Súilleabháin makes a welcome return, with a concert the Church of Ireland on August 1st.
The Carolan String Quartet and Saxophonist, Kenneth Edge will be joining him.
John Carty, Donal Lunny and Harry Bradley will also be among the stars playing.
Horslips' Johnny Fean will accompany Stephen Travers for an intimate gig in the Railway Bar.
In classical terms, Soprano Sinead Campbell Wallace will be accompanied by pianist Mairead Hurley on July 28th in the Church of Ireland.
The popular lunchtime concerts are also back.
Writer and broadcaster Joseph O'Connor will lead a spoken word event on July 29th.
