Basta looks to the future after examinership
It's all systems go for the Basta team as they launch the company's new branding and website.
The Tubbercurry based high-quality lock specialist now employs 16 professionals, following the purchase of the Basta locks and ironmongery brand out of examinership by a group of industry experts.
David Curran, Basta's Connacht representative said that the company has regained its position within the trade as one of the leading suppliers of locks and accessories again.
"Our range of designs for interior and exterior door handles match the tastes homeowners are looking for in 2020.
"Today's property owner wants more from a lock. While security is a priority, our research shows that they also want modern designs and colours that brighten up the doors and indeed the rooms," Dermot said.
A 'key' benefit of choosing Basta is that it's unique design will not be available under any other brand name. This approach has stood the test of time for over 60 years.
Basta has been one of the strongest brand names of high-quality door and window locks and hinges since 1955.
Established by the Gallagher brothers who came from Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, Basta was Ireland's first factory specialising in the design and manufacture of quality locks, hinges and door handles.

"Every lock in our catalogue is rigorously tested before it leaves our premises. Indeed, our quality assurance team test the mechanisms at least 500,000 times to make sure they are fit for purpose," Dermot said.
Basta, has its team of experts located throughout the county to assist the hardware and DIY customers in maximising their sales.
