Flooding in parts of Sligo due to high tides

There was flooding in parts of Sligo on Thursday morning as a result of high tides.
The Gibraltar Road at Second Sea Road was closed early on Thursday morning, but was later reopened.
The Mardyke Road on the Rosses Point road was partially flooded, with motorists urged to be cautious when driving in the area.

Sligo County Council urged the public to stay away from Shelly Valley in Strandhill following overtopping on the promenade as a result of high tide.
The Ballytivnan road was also flooded due to high tides, and again motorists were urged by the Sligo County Council to drive with care in the area.
