Presentation on dementia was widely commended

Chair of Dementia Europe and Tubbercurry native Helen Rochford-Brennan, along with her Carmel Geoghegan, delivered the presentation in an effort to increase awareness of Dementia, which is the fasted spreading disease in the world with no cure.

All councillors commended both women on the detailed presentation, with Cllr Jerry Lundy describing it as the best presentation he had seen since becoming a member of the council.

Afterwards all of the county councillors welcomed the detailed and insightful presentation and a motion to write to the Minister for Health Simon Harris TD to seek extra funding for Dementia was passed.
