Leather boots, checked shirts, corduroy and denim were in abundance at Corcoran's pub in New Ross for a cowboy wedding which had it all!

From the moment 'bride' Fiona Walsh and 'groom' Jimmy Furlong arrived in a horse drawn carriage, to the mock wedding ceremony in the fantastic beer garden, the 100-strong crowd enjoyed every minute of this fundraiser for New Ross River Search & Rescue.

Corcoran's staff organised the event and not a detail was missed from wedding invitations to a poster highlighting the event.

Corcoran's owner Emmett Hall said the staff were aware of the invaluable work New Ross River Search & Rescue do for people within the community.

He said: 'There was a big crowd and it was very well supported. We have had weddings here before but never a cowboy wedding so this was a first for us. It was the real deal with bales of straw and a wedding cake.'

Alan McDonald (AKA Fr Big Sexy Al) officiated at the wedding and there were cheers as New Ross natives Fiona and Jimmy sealed the deal.

DJ Jamie O'Dowd had the country hits playing so the saloon was hopping all day. Everyone enjoyed a great spread, including members of New Ross River Search & Rescue.

For their honeymoon Emmett Said the happy couple went as far as Corcoran's!

'They returned for an afters wedding party the following day. All the money raised is going to New Ross River Search & Rescue, an organisation which has helped countless people within the area.'
