Hibs unable to go Forth and conquer

COURTOWN HIBS suffered a frustrating weekend as they were unable to put Forth Celtic away to help them to within striking distance of the top of the Carlton Millrace Premier Division table.

The fourth-placed side travelled to Murrintown to take on the league's bottom club, but they returned home to Ounavarra Park with just a point to show for their efforts after being held to a 1-1 draw. Leighton Gleeson landed the Hibs goal on Sunday.

Only two games took place in the top flight last weekend and the other fixture was the clash between Wexford Bohs and Gorey Rangers in Drinagh.

Bohs eased to a 3-0 triumph over the eighth-placed side to move up to third spot (see focus game).
