Rounds of a-'paws' for Puss in Boots
The classic story of Puss In Boots drew packed houses at Campile Hall for four consecutive nights recently.
Producer and choreographer Sabrina Hanrahan said: 'I'm absolutely delighted with how the panto went. All our months of hard work paid off and it was so exciting to hear the audience's getting so involved with the show.'
Pat Baron played the Dame on the hunt for a new pair of shoes at the local shoe shop owned by Pant and Spec. The principle male was on the search for true love with the Princess Sancha but needed help from his cat, Puss In Boots (Jean Hanrahan). Puss, however, can only speak thanks to the help of the magical fairy (Susan Kent).
The fairy is also very busy trying to keep Lady Latreena (Majella Cummins) from thwarting their plans. Puss takes Colin on a journey in which he defeats the ogre (James Molloy) in order to achieve his dreams. Also involved in the action was a very `feminine' King (James Teague) and `cougar' Queen (Helen Hart), accompanied by their loyal Hearld (Martin Shalloe).
