The musicians of Ceoltóirí Munna showed off their talents when they held their Christmas concert in front of a packed house at Taghmon National School.

Singers, dancers and musicians, from aged four up, took the audience through great tunes and Christmas carols.

There were fantastic dance displays, from Sean Nós dancing, to jigs and reels. The junior dancers performed a special 'Rudolph' dance, while others showed off their Sean Nós singing skills. A song from the musical 'Matilda' was performed by some of the younger singers while the Heavenly Harp Group performing 'The Polar Express' theme alongside four solo singers.

There was a Christmas recitation and the Ceoltóirí Munna percussion group thrilled everyone with a stirring three-piece performance.

There were further individual performances on concertinas, fiddles, button accordions, harp and tin whistles.

The concert was rounded off nicely with a medley of happy tunes and songs from teachers and students, to send everyone home in good spirits! Even Santa made a surprise visit to check in on the kids ahead of his big visit on Tuesday!

The next fixture in Wexford's Trad calendar is on January 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. in Clayton White's Hotel for the Craobh Loch Garman Comhaltas Céili Mór.
