Larry Kirwan returns

Wexford/New York writer and musician Larry Kirwan comes home with a couple of busloads of Americans and Canadians for a gig in the Cornmarket venue on Saturday night.

His set will include lots of Black 47 favourites, plus songs from his various musical theatre pieces - including a new one about Brendan Behan's life and times called .The Catacombs.

He'll also be performing 'Heroes/Belfast', the lead track from his EP of the same name that came from a conversation he had with David Bowie where he said that 'Heroes' could just as easily have been written about Belfast as Berlin - each city being divided by a wall.
