Hayley to sing at Armed Man show
Talented singer Hayley Crosbie, from Creacon, is performing with the New Ross Singers in their Armistice Day performance of 'The Armed Man' on Sunday, November 11, at 8 p.m. in the Parish Church, Robert Street, New Ross.
Classically trained at Scuola Del Canto Libero with Marketa Malcova, aged 15 Hayley performed in an opera in Prague. She appeared in the 2017 Wexford's Got Talent and was a finalist in the All Ireland CU Factor. She is currently a student of Superstars Stage Academy and has participated in many shows and musicals in Wexford and New Ross.
Described as a cross between Adele and Emeli Sandé, this young New Ross singer has a voice far beyond her 18 years. The Armed Man is a powerful composition which was first performed by the choir in 2010 when it was received with great acclaim. It was commissioned to mark the turning of the new millennium. As the most war-torn and destructive century in human history was left behind, the world needed to look back and reflect but also to look ahead with hope to a new and more peaceful time.
Tickets for the show cost €20 and students pay €10, and are available from choir members at 051-421644/421766 and at the door.
