Entertainment was on the menu at the New Ross Musical Society cookery demonstration night hosted by the ever-popular Edward Hayden in the Brandon House Hotel recently.

A large crowd attended the night to see the Graiguenamanagh based chef cook on the theme 'Simple Affordable Meals'.

The food writer and blogger is very familiar to radio and television audiences from his weekly cookery slots on TV3's Ireland AM and regular appearances on KCLR 96FM and Edward did not disappoint on the night as he kept the audience entertained while talking them through recipes for his fantastic, tasty dishes.

The group would like to thank everyone who supported their Singin' in the Kitchen fundraising night which raised money for the society.

A New Ross Musical Society spokesperson said: 'We would like to thank Edward, and would also like to thank Joyce's Home Centre New Ross who kindly sponsored our kitchen for the night. A special word of thanks to the Brandon House Hotel, The Theatre Tavern bar and everyone who donated or sponsored prizes on the night.'

The money from the fundraiser will go towards New Ross Musical Society's next production.

'As we enter our 50th year there are big things promised from New Ross Musical Society for March 2018 so watch this space for an announcement regarding our next production.'
