This year's Integer (Lake Region Medical) 4 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk, a charity event organised by Integer employees for the benefit of local causes, takes place on Sunday, October 7, in the JFK Arboretum.

The day will commence from 12.30 p.m. with a Kiddies Dash and entertainment, and the main run and walk event at 1.30 p.m.

Integer is based at Butlerlsland industrial park. It is the largest employer in County Wexford with over 940 employees.

Every year, two charities are selected via ballot by employees, for which funds are raised on their behalf. In 2017, over €30,000 was raised and shared between both Touching Hearts, Waterford and Our Lady of Fatima School, Wexford. This year's chosen charities are St. Patrick's Special School and Educate Together School. St. Patrick's Special School is based in Enniscorthy, providing special needs facilities to children aged from 4-18 years throughout the county.

The Educate Together School is based in New Ross's ethos is to ensure every child learns in an inclusive, democratic, co-education setting that is committed to enabling and supporting each child to achieve their full potential.
