Enniscorthy's big weekend
The wait is finally nearly over as the Enniscorthy Rockin' Food Festival takes over the streets of the Cathedral town this bank holiday weekend.
The festival brings together the wonderful combination of some of the finest artisan food producers the South East and, indeed the whole country, has to offer, along with a long list of some of the finest names in roots and rock n' roll music from across Ireland, the UK and even further afield. In recent years, the festival has grown to be one of the finest of its kind on the east coast and welcomes visitors from right across the country.
The fun kicks off on Thursday night with a Gin Talk and Taste Event at D-Bar while Friday will see a harvest banquet at the castle, pizza making classes, some stellar rock n' roll gigs at venues around town and the opportunity to taste some Jackford Potato Gin atop the ferris wheel taking in views of Enniscorthy.
On Saturday, the town is set to be a flurry of activity with the artisan food market setting up, a range of workshops taking place, live outdoor music at Market Square, the Antique Tavern and Toss Kavanaghs and a range of activities for kids including sword and puppet making and chocolate and cupcake camps! The artisan craft market returns on the Sunday and there will also be a vintage/retro market at the Church Institute.
In addition, again there will be a full range of kids activities and live music, along with the International Jive Finals in Market Square.
