FIVE OF Wexford's most promising music acts helped to celebrate National Music Day in the unique setting of Loftus Hall.

Throughout the day, Corner Boy, Dave Clark, Gordon Barry, Red Sail and Satori Stream gave live performances in the café area as well as working individually with noted music filmmaker Will McConnell.

The activities were devised and organised by the Arts Department of Wexford County Council to help celebrate National 'Love:Live' Music Day 'a glorious and all-inclusive celebration of live music-making in Ireland'.

'We are delighted to be able to extend the breadth of our support for music in the county by giving these talented singer-songwriters and original bands a platform of this kind,' said Eugene Campbell from the Arts Department.

Those interested in seeing the filmed performances are advised to keep an eye on www.wexford.ie/arts and the Arts Department's Facebook page in the coming weeks.

National 'Love;Live' Music Day is coordinated by Music Network and funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. Music Network is funded by the Arts Council.
