The 36th Ramsgrange Scout Group held their annual parents night last Monday in the Star of the Sea Centre in Duncannon.

The event provided an opportunity for the youth members to give their parents an insight into some of the things they did throughout the scouting year. The scout awards and investiture ceremonies were also held.

County commissioner Dano O'Leary presented some of the adult members with service awards. These included Allie Doyle, Brendan Doyle, Noel Lynch and Mandy O'Connor. There were 13 beavers invested, namely Aidan Rhodes, Alex Ely, Annabelle O'Leary, Ciara O'Leary, Darragh Whelan, Jack Keating, Jessica Finn, Matthew O'Brien, Noah Flood, Oisin Roche, Ryan Dillon, Ryan Keogh and Muireann Barry.

A cub, Padraig Barry and two scouts, Molly Fisher and Luke Amos invested also. The Group Support Facilitator Patsy Kelly is leaving for a new job outside Scouting Ireland. He was presented with a plaque to thank him for all his help throughout the last five years, as Patsy was instrumental in getting the group back on its feet this time five years ago. Group leader Mandy O'Connor thanked Patsy for making it a successful and thriving group and the group would like to thank all parents for their support.
