Pool players on cue with €1,600 for Cushinstown NS autism unit

A group of pool players have raised €1,600 for the Sunroom autism unit at Cushinstown NS.

More than 50 pool players gathered in Morrissey's pub in Cassagh, enjoying a great evening of pool - all for a good cause. €800 was raised on the night and adding in the €800 the players raised last year, A grand total of €1,600 has been donated to the school to fund trips and equipment for the six pupils who avail of the Sunroom.

One of the organisers, David O'Dwyer said the pool night was very successful. He thanked the members of the Bannow Rathangan Pool Club for playing in the fundraiser which was organised by Eoghan Whelan and David.

Cushinstown NS Principal Muireann Furlong thanked David, Eoghan and everyone who supported the fundraiser.
