The McCauley group have invested €500,000 in their new pharmacy in New Ross which was officially opened by Wexford hurlers Rory O'Connor, Shaun Murray, Eanna Martin and Paudie Foley.

The large, spacious pharmacy opened at 4 South Street in early March and marks the start of a new chapter in the life of French's Pharmacy whose staff have joined the McCauley team who moved from the old premises which opened in 2002. The new 3,000sq ft store employs 21 people. It includes a new Digital Photo Centre, Prestige Cosmetics and Perfumery in addition to the core traditional services.

As part of the re-brand, McCauley has evolved every aspect of the business - health, beauty and pharmacy - to meet the changing needs of its customers. Recognising such a market shift, McCauley is positioning itself as a leader in the self-healthcare space, empowering customers to make better lifestyle choices. It is the third store to open under the recently launched McCauley Health and Beauty Pharmacy Brand. The new store has an entirely fresh look and feel, including a newly designed beauty area as well as new in-store and shop-front displays. The store ranges premium skincare products such as Clarins, the latest cult beauty brands, premium vitamin and mineral ranges as well as pharmacist-led services via the existing local pharmacist team for prescriptions, Flu Vaccine, Emergency Contraception, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Stop Smoking Advice and Asthma Reviews.
